Prorodeo radio network overview

The ProRodeo Radio Network (PRRN) is the premiere Rodeo and Western Lifestyle radio and internet broadcast network.

PRRN was founded in 2004 by two professional broadcast and syndication companies, Jeff Tracy’s Lead ‘Em to Water Productions and Huntsman Entertainment.  PRRN is the official radio network of the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) and has licensed the exclusive “play-by-play” radio rights to selected events.

The inaugural network broadcast included chute-to-chute coverage of the 2004 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.  The broadcast was carried on over 30 stations and there were 50,000 total fans who listened to the streaming coverage on the internet.

In 2005 PRRN established ProRodeo Today, a daily rodeo news brief, which was syndicated on over 100 stations.  The 2005 Wrangler National Finals was carried on a radio network of 4 million listeners.  For each finals performance, an average of 13,000 fans listened to the coverage via the internet.  Additionally, daily finals updates were carried on Armed Forces Radio and Television Service internationally.

Tracy continued to build PRRN’s vision in 2006 by partnering with World-Champion Cowboy Luke Branquinho and production/syndication company Impact Radio Networks of Nashville, TN.

Broadcast overview

ProRodeo Radio Network’s live coverage of the 2006 Wrangler National Finals will begin on November 30th at 6:30 pm.  Fans will be able to access every performance of the ten-day finals on over 100 radio stations across the US and on the internet at ProRodeoRadio.net.  For the second year, PRRN will provide daily updates from the finals to the Armed Forces Radio and Television Service.

Each broadcast will kick off with a brief pre-rodeo analysis including injury reports. During the course of each performance, competitors will be noted for such honors as the “Best Catch of the Day” and “Best Time of the Night.”  For the weekend performances, the broadcast will follow the TV schedule.

Links to PRRN’s broadcast will also be featured on Steve Kenyon's website, rodeoprofiles.com and on the PRCA's website at prorodeo.com.

In addition to Horseman’s World and ProRodeo Radio, Tracy has become a widely recognized cowboy cook, with his own regional cable cooking show. His lifelong passion for cooking inspired him to create a combination of spices marketed under the brand name 5/C (Clear Creek Cowboy Cooking Company).
