Prorodeo radio network overview
The
ProRodeo Radio Network (PRRN) is the premiere Rodeo and
Western Lifestyle radio and internet broadcast network.
PRRN was
founded in 2004 by two professional broadcast and
syndication companies, Jeff Tracy’s Lead ‘Em to Water
Productions and Huntsman Entertainment.
PRRN is the official radio network of the Professional Rodeo
Cowboys Association (PRCA) and has licensed the exclusive
“play-by-play” radio rights to selected events.
The inaugural network broadcast included chute-to-chute
coverage of the 2004 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo in Las
Vegas. The broadcast was carried on over 30 stations and
there were 50,000 total fans who listened to the streaming
coverage on the internet.
In 2005
PRRN established ProRodeo Today, a daily rodeo news brief,
which was syndicated on over 100 stations. The 2005
Wrangler National Finals was carried on a radio network of 4
million listeners. For each finals performance, an average
of 13,000 fans listened to the coverage via the internet.
Additionally, daily finals updates were carried on Armed
Forces Radio and Television Service internationally.
Tracy
continued to build PRRN’s vision in 2006 by partnering with
World-Champion Cowboy Luke Branquinho and
production/syndication company Impact Radio Networks of
Nashville, TN.
